Volta charging questions

How much does Volta charging cost per kWh?
WattWay prices Volta at about $0.49/kWh for DC fast charging, which makes it the 11th cheapest of the 16 networks it tracks and above the $0.43/kWh average by $0.06 per kWh. Actual rates vary by site, time of day and local taxes; when a station publishes its own price, the planner uses that instead.
Is Volta expensive compared with other networks?
Across the networks WattWay prices, rates run from $0.20/kWh (OUC) to $0.59/kWh (Blink). At $0.49/kWh, Volta sits toward the expensive end. On a 500-mile trip, the charging you buy en route differs by roughly $5.16 versus an average-priced network for a mid-size EV.
Does Volta have a membership or subscription?
WattWay doesn't model a subscription for Volta, so no membership discount is applied to its sessions. That does not mean every stop is priced at $0.49/kWh: when a station publishes its own rate through Open Charge Map the planner uses that, and this reference rate is only the fallback for stations that don't. If the network introduces a plan worth modeling it will be added to the planner's membership list.

Find out if Volta is on your route

A rate only matters if you drive past it. WattWay looks at the chargers actually along your route — every operator, not just this one — and picks the cheapest workable sequence for your car. You can also exclude networks you'd rather not use.
